UK A-Level Mathematics is a linear senior-secondary Mathematics qualification with nationally defined core subject content. The major routes covered by BTT are AQA 7357, Pearson Edexcel 9MA0 and OCR Mathematics A H240. The boards package and assess the course differently, but the underlying A-Level Mathematics is intentionally common.
AQA explicitly states that its A-Level Mathematics subject content is set by the Department for Education and is common across exam boards. That makes this a good example of BTT’s architecture: one stable mathematical spine, then board-specific assessment layers.

Pure Mathematics is not a separate island
Algebra and functions carry into calculus; trigonometry carries into differentiation and integration; vectors connect geometry and mechanics. Students who revise the course as isolated chapters often lose the dependencies that A-Level questions exploit.
Statistics and mechanics need continuous maintenance
Applied Mathematics is often neglected while students focus on calculus. That creates late-stage instability. Statistics should be kept active through probability, distributions, sampling and hypothesis testing; mechanics should be built through modelling, kinematics, forces, Newton’s laws and moments.
The three board routes
AQA 7357 is the current AQA A-Level Mathematics specification. Pearson Edexcel 9MA0 is Pearson’s current A-Level Mathematics route. OCR H240 is OCR Mathematics A. Students should use the exact board’s papers and data/formula resources once the underlying Mathematics is secure.
