Behaviour is sometimes the child’s first language for a problem that has not yet become explainable in words.
A parent may reasonably begin with discipline: sit down, focus, finish the work. Sometimes that is exactly what the child needs. But when the same resistance appears repeatedly around the same subject, chapter or type of question, the behaviour deserves academic examination as well.

The calm interpretation is not “the system is impossible.”

We should not frighten the family by describing every educational decision as a crisis. Nor should we pretend that the child can simply absorb increasing complexity through willpower alone.
