3 Example Thought Corridor Records (Directory-Style) v1.0

(1 English Writing, 1 Tutor Explanation, 1 Governance Decision)

Corridor Record 1 — English Writing (Narrative Under Load)

CorridorID: LANG×Z0×Op×Write×Narrative5Box×v1.0
Definition: Produce a complete narrative composition using a stable 5-box traversal that reduces choice under time.
OwnerRole: Op (maintained by Operator; gated by Oracle)

EntryConditions

  • Prompt understood; scope locked (topic, tone, audience)
  • 3–5 usable vocabulary nodes available (scene verbs, emotions, connectors)

Steps (Traversal)

  1. Box1 Hook (1–2 lines): scene + tension seed
  2. Box2 Build: obstacle + escalation (because/so connectors)
  3. Box3 Climax: turning point + decision
  4. Box4 Resolution: consequence + repair
  5. Box5 Reflection: lesson + emotional closure
  6. Language sweep: connectors + tense consistency + paragraphing

ExitConditions

  • 4–5 paragraphs, coherent arc, minimal scope drift, readable under exam constraints

FailureModes (Collapse Points)

  • Scope drift (doesn’t answer prompt)
  • Branch explosion (too many plot options)
  • Weak binds (missing connectors → choppy flow)
  • Timing failure (unfinished ending)

Sensors

  • StabilityUnderLoad: completion rate within time window
  • TransferPassRate: works across different prompts
  • BrittlenessIndex: # of failure points hit per run
  • RepairLatency: time from feedback to stable rewrite
  • SymmetryLoadContribution: forks per paragraph (aim low)

Gates

  • TimeGate: complete within exam time (with checklist)
  • CritiqueGate: revise after feedback without collapsing structure
  • TransferGate: pass 3 prompt variants
  • OperatorGate: low-choice execution (no new structure mid-run)

Dependencies

  • VocabNodes: verbs, emotion words, sensory adjectives
  • BindSet: because/therefore/however/meanwhile; paragraph transition binds

Status: SOP
Version: v1.0

Corridor Record 2 — Tutor Explanation (Concept → Mastery)

CorridorID: EDU×Z0×O·Op×Explain×Concept4Gate×v1.0
Definition: Explain any concept so the learner can transfer it under load (not just repeat it).
OwnerRole: O·Op (Oracle defines gates; Operator runs delivery)

EntryConditions

  • Identify target concept + misconceptions
  • Pick a single anchor example

Steps (Traversal)

  1. Definition Lock: “X means ; not
  2. Minimal Example: show the simplest working case
  3. Mechanism Step: why it works (one causal chain)
  4. Counterexample: where it fails / common trap
  5. Transfer Variant: new question / new context
  6. Timed Mini-Test: 2–3 minutes, learner explains back
  7. Repair Loop: fix weakest step only, then rerun variant

ExitConditions

  • Learner can explain and apply in a new variant within time

FailureModes

  • Learner parrots definition but cannot apply (transfer collapse)
  • Too many examples (choice overload)
  • No counterexample (fragile understanding)
  • Feedback too late (repair latency)

Sensors

  • TransferPassRate: % correct on new variants
  • TimedVariance: performance stability under time
  • RepairLatency: time to correct misconception
  • ExceptionGrowth: “special cases” needed (aim minimal)

Gates

  • TimeGate: learner executes within timed mini-test
  • TransferGate: 3 variants, different surface forms
  • OperatorGate: can run steps without tutor prompts
  • OracleGate: rubric score ≥ threshold (definition + mechanism + transfer)

Dependencies

  • ScopeLocks: what is included/excluded
  • BindSet: because/if-then/therefore; and/or/not; quantify words

Status: Gated
Version: v1.0

Corridor Record 3 — Governance Decision (Policy Gate Under Load)

CorridorID: GOV×Z4×O×Decide×FenceGateDecision×v1.0
Definition: Make a high-stakes decision using explicit thresholds that prevent irreversible crossings (FenceOS style).
OwnerRole: O (Oracle; with V for objectives, Op for implementation)

EntryConditions

  • Objective defined (what stability means here)
  • Key sensors available (ρ, R, TTC/buffers, weak-signal throughput)

Steps (Traversal)

  1. Scope Lock: what decision covers / excludes
  2. Sensor Read: collect leading indicators (not just outcomes)
  3. Threshold Check:
  • if ρ≥1 spikes → risk high
  • if R>1 persists → drift regime
  • if T_repair>T_stress → accumulation regime
  1. Truncation Options: freeze changes, cap exceptions, rollback, protect repair bandwidth
  2. Stitch Plan: redundancy + buffer restoration + transfer tests (capability rebuild)
  3. Decision Output: choose action + enforcement path + cadence
  4. Audit Loop: publish what will be measured next window; protect truth channels

ExitConditions

  • Action chosen with explicit thresholds, rollback paths, and repair corridor

FailureModes

  • Decisions made by optics (proxy metrics)
  • No enforcement → rules become noise
  • Truth channels suppressed → blind system
  • Over-concentration ignored → cascade risk

Sensors

  • ρ_max spike rate
  • R(t) trend
  • T_repair/T_stress ratio
  • ExceptionGrowthSlope
  • WeakSignalThroughput (near-miss reports)
  • Trust/VerificationOverheadSlope

Gates

  • OracleGate: decision must include thresholds + rollback + audit plan
  • OperatorGate: implementable SOP exists
  • VisionaryCadenceGate: no churn faster than stabilisation window
  • TruthChannelGate: safe reporting confirmed

Dependencies

  • DefinitionLockbox (shared meanings)
  • EnforcementCapacity (people/tools)
  • TruthProtectionMechanisms
